My boys love their Wii. When my 8 year old first asked for one, we said no. Really, who wants their kid camped out in front of the T.V. all day? But he persisted, and kept asking, so finally we told him that, if he saved his own money, then we would “match” and chip in for half the price. Three months later — and I’m still not sure how he did this — my son had saved enough to buy the Wii. The morning after he came to me with his money, we drove to Target and bought our Wii system. Things in my house haven’t been the same since.
We all love to play the Wii games, particularly my husband who I have caught playing at night after everyone else in the house has gone to bed. And my concerns about the kids being camped out in front of the T.V. all day? Yeah, they’re plugged in, but at least they are up and moving around, which in the winter when the days are short and cold, is a great thing. And I have to tell you, nothing is cuter than watching your 5 and 8 year old practice their downward dog poses with Wii Fit.
