Does the shark tank prefer super cute SwimZip swimwear?
For those of you familiar with my blog, you know that I’m a mompreneur. During the course of running my business online, I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with lots of other mompreneurs across the world. Like me, these moms invented solutions to everyday problems when they couldn’t find a product already available on the market. We are a close-knit, supportive crowd even though most of us have never met in person. I think that I speak for the crowd when I say that it’s great fun to see one of our own make it big. And, if I had to bet, this girl is going places!
Betsy Johnson is the creator of SwimZip — a line of UPF 50+ protective swimwear. SwimZip’s first product was a UPF 50+ rash guard featuring a signature full zipper down the front to make it easy to put on and take off. The company has now expanded its line to include adorable swimsuits and swimwear for boys, girls, and even adults.
Betsy started SwimZip after she was diagnosed with skin cancer at just 26 years of age. This life-changing event prompted her to set about creating a product that would help protect others from a similar fate and one that would be easy to use.
Tomorrow night, Betsy appears on the Shark Tank. She’s been sworn to silence about the outcome, so the question on all of our minds is whether the sharks love her swimwear as much as we do. I’m certainly tuning in to find out!
If you’d like to learn more about SwimZip and their adorable swimwear, you can find them online, on facebook, and on Twitter. And if you watch tomorrow night, don’t forget to send a tweet of support to @SwimZip!
